The short version

This website is a set of static pages. It has no shopping cart, no accounts, no contact forms, no newsletter sign-up and no comment section. There is nowhere on this site for you to enter personal information, and none is collected.

When you place an order you leave this site entirely and go to YallaBites. Anything you enter there — your name, address, payment details, delivery date — is handled by YallaBites under their privacy policy, not this one.

Who operates this site

This site is operated by The Tart Studio, a cottage food production operation based in Allen, Texas.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people actually read. It is used to answer questions like “did anyone look at the delivery page” — not to identify you.

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (named _ga and similar) holding a random identifier, and sends Google your page address, referring page, approximate location derived from your IP address, and general device and browser information. Google processes this as our data processor. Their handling is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

IP addresses are not stored in full: Google Analytics 4 discards them after deriving approximate location. Analytics data is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone outside Google.

Advertising

A Google Ads tag is connected to the same Google tag as the analytics above, so that if this studio advertises, it can tell which adverts actually led to an order. No adverts are running at the time of writing, and none have run.

Because the tag is connected, advertising cookies may be set on your device outside the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, and Google may use them to measure conversions and to build advertising audiences. No personal information is sent to Google by this site — no name, address, email or order contents. The only events sent are the ones described above, such as which button was clicked.

Cookies and consent

This site sets analytics cookies, and advertising cookies where the section above applies. It sets no session-recording cookies and runs no session replay.

There is no consent banner. None is legally required here: the United States has no general cookie-consent law, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act exempts small businesses of this size, and California’s thresholds are far above a business this size. Rather than show a banner that would do nothing, both analytics and advertising storage are switched off by default for visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, where opt-in consent genuinely is required. Those visitors are counted without cookies and without an identifier, and no advertising cookie is set for them at all.

If you would rather not be counted at all, browser tracking protection, an ad blocker or Google’s opt-out add-on will each stop it, and nothing on this site will break as a result.

Fonts and external requests

The two typefaces used here are downloaded at build time and served from this site’s own domain. Your browser makes no request to Google Fonts or any other font host, so no third party sees your IP address as a result of loading the type.

Product photography, the logo and every other asset are served from this domain too. Google — the analytics and advertising tag described above — is the single third party your browser contacts when you load a page here. There are no other external requests.

Server logs

Like any website, the server that delivers these pages records ordinary request information — IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser user-agent. This is standard web-server logging used to keep the site running and to investigate faults or abuse. It is not linked to any identity and is not used to build a profile of you.

Links to other sites

This site links out to YallaBites and to social media profiles. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else’s site, covered by their privacy policy. We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, how they handle your information.

Children

This site is aimed at people buying pâtisserie and is not directed at children. As no information is collected here, none is collected from children either.

Your rights

Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and residents of other states and countries may have equivalent rights, to access, correct or delete personal information held about them.

Because this site holds no personal information, there is generally nothing here to access, correct or delete. If you have placed an order, the data you are looking for is held by YallaBites and a request should be directed to them. Changes to this policy

If how this site works changes — a form is added, analytics are introduced — this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it.
