Terms of service
These terms cover your use of this website. The purchase itself happens on YallaBites and is governed by their terms.

Who these terms are with
This site is operated by The Tart Studio, a cottage food production operation based in Allen, Texas. It is not a registered company. By using this site you accept the terms set out here.
What this site is
This is an informational site. It describes what The Tart Studio makes, what goes into it and where it delivers. It does not take orders, does not process payments and does not create an account for you.
Every order is placed on YallaBites. Payment, order confirmation, delivery scheduling, changes, cancellations and refunds are all handled there, under YallaBites’s terms and their agreement with you. Nothing on this page overrides those.
Prices and availability
Prices shown here — currently $35 for a half dozen and $70 for a full dozen — are listed in US dollars and are correct at the time of writing. The prices and available dates shown at checkout on YallaBites are the authoritative ones. Where the two disagree, YallaBites is correct.
Everything is made to order in small batches, so availability is limited and dates can fill. All orders need 48 hours notice.
How the kitchen is regulated
The Tart Studio operates as a cottage food production operation under Texas Health and Safety Code chapter 437. That framework allows certain foods to be made in a private residence and sold directly to consumers without a licence, permit or health inspection. The owner holds a food handler’s certificate, as the law requires.
Texas requires cottage food products to carry this disclosure, and it is repeated here so it is visible before you order:
THIS PRODUCT WAS PRODUCED IN A PRIVATE RESIDENCE THAT IS NOT SUBJECT TO GOVERNMENTAL LICENSING OR INSPECTION.
Orders are placed through YallaBites, who also carry out delivery within the local service area. Products are not shipped by post.
Food, ingredients and allergens
These tarts are made with wheat, butter, eggs and dairy, and one of the three contains nuts. They are prepared in a kitchen where nuts are handled, so cross-contact is possible and no product can be guaranteed free of any allergen.
If you or anyone you are serving has a food allergy or intolerance, ask before ordering. Descriptions on this site are given in good faith but are not a substitute for that conversation. See the frequently asked questions for more.
Accuracy of this site
Photography shows real product, but tarts are finished by hand and no two boxes are identical — what arrives will vary slightly from what is pictured. That variation is a property of hand-made work rather than a defect.
Reasonable care is taken to keep this site accurate and current, but it is offered as-is, without warranty that it is complete, error-free or continuously available.
